Eligibility requirements
12th-grade and college Spanish-speaking students (18 years of age or older), who are interested in exploring a career in pharmacy. You do not need to be a resident of Virginia to participate; distance learning options are available. Minimum GPA requirement of 2.8.
Program description
Compromiso, Valores, Servicio, is a year-long pathway program offered to college-level Spanish speaking students who are interested in serving as a member of a healthcare team. The program offers students the opportunity to serve as an interpreter while exploring a career in Pharmacy. Participants meet for virtual sessions to develop clinical skills, learn about the pharmacy profession, and prepare for virtual shadowing opportunities. Each participant will receive $200 per semester to cover any program costs.
