Applied Public Health Laboratory Summer Program
Requirements: Online application, personal statement, one letter of recommendation, an unofficial transcript, as well as a resume.
Eligibility requirements
Any current college freshman, sophmores, and juniors may apply.
All applicants must have U.S. citizenship.
Program description
This immersive summer program introduces undergraduate students to medical laboratory science and public health laboratories through hands-on experiences, mentorship, and exposure to real-world diagnostic and surveillance testing. Participants will explore how laboratory data inform patient care, outbreak response, and population-level health decisions while gaining insight into careers across clinical and public health laboratory settings.
Housing, program materials, and all meals are provided at no cost to the participants. Participants will receive a $500 stipend.
