I graduated from Howard University in Washington, D.C in May of 2021. I’ve moved around a lot growing up, but my family has lived in San Francisco, California for over 10 years! I love the east coast because I enjoy watching the seasons change, but I also love the diversity on the east coast. Between living in different states and attending an HBCU, I have been blessed to interact with people from different cultures across the world. Something that makes me feel fulfilled is helping people. I truly believe that “to whom much is given, much is expected.”

I love to cook and bake! I grew up eating home-cooked meals and being taught new recipes by various family members has been so sentimental to me that anytime I cook a new meal, I feel nostalgic. I also really enjoy photography. San Francisco is without a doubt one of the most beautiful places in the world. I would love to get a camera one day, but I like taking photos on my phone since I always have it on me. At any given moment, I can capture a picture!

I chose to become a SCIE Ambassador because a passion of mine is to educate others on diversity, equity, and inclusion, and I want to be surrounded by those with similar passions. I expect to listen, learn, and be heard. I hope that no one belittles or invalidates another person’s experience. I hope that the other ambassadors and I can have transparent conversations and work together to create an impactful capstone project!
